Love this tangy, mouth-watering salad which can be eaten raw at any time whenever you feel like munching some healthy stuff.This salad can be done in a jiffy and the taste also depends upon the type of mango u choose.I have used the tasty kili mooku manga(parrot beak mango) which they sell in beach side with the spices dusted on it.The mango should not be too ripe or too raw,then u will get a sour taste as lemon juice is also added to it.If u wish can add any spices according to ur wish like chat masala,but today I have added only red chilies to it.Lets move on to the simple ingredients.
INGREDIENTS(servings 2-3)
- 100gms(1/2cup)of raw mango.
- 1 cup of carrot.(can use more carrots and very less mango also,if ur mango tastes sour.)
- One tablespoon of lemon juice.
- Each one teaspoon of broken urad dhal and mustard seeds.
- 3-4 red chilies.
- One tablespoon of oil and curry leaves.
Have loaded the picture of the raw mango
METHOD
- Chop mango and carrot into small thin slices as shown in the picture.U can chop them into julienne’s too.(long thin slices.)
- First remove carrot skin and chop into round shape and then slice them thin.Repeat same for chopping mango too.
- Mix both carrot and mango add salt and lemon juice.
- Now add oil in a small pan,add urad dhal,mustard seeds and red chilies for tempering.When it splutters add curry leaves and pour on the salad.
- Mix properly,check salt and serve.
Simple,tasty and colorful salad is ready.
